Martin Žampach

Martin Žampach

An industrial designer graduated from the Secondary Glass Art School. In 2006 he graduated from Tomas Bata University in Zlín, Industrial Design. He also completed an Erasmus scholarship at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, Poland, in the fields of product and furniture design.

He has worked for an architectural studio in Londrina, Brazil; for the renowned design studio CuldeSac in Valencia, Spain; for the largest design studio in Russia, Art Lebedev Studio from Moscow and has also worked as an independent designer for various clients in the Czech Republic and abroad.

In 2013, his KON glass collection designed for SIMAX won the prestigious GOOD DESIGN AWARD from The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design. In 2021 GOOD DESIGN AWARD for PROTOTYPUM FACEMASK, in 2022 BigSee PRODUCT DESIGN AWARD for JETSURF electric longboard and NEW YORK PRODUCT DESIGN AWARD 2022 for a keyboard for Thermo Fisher Scientific electron microscope as co-founder and creative director of PROTOTYPUM studio.
Martin has always been interested in new technologies and a few years ago started to study 3D printing methods for both prototyping and production - resulting in collections of WAVE, SPIRAL, ZIGZAG and BUBBLES vases where Martin used the "Algorithm Aided Design" approach to design.
He is currently working extensively with additive technologies and putting them into practice. Martin has over 15 years of experience as an industrial designer and is an expert in 3D printing.
